Happily Ever After

Good Morning everyone, Becky here today with my first GDT post.

Today I have made a card with the super cute Happily Ever After from Tiddly Inks.

I have coloured them in with Distress Markers. The card has been shaped with a Tim Holtz On The Edge Die, the papers are Arrow Heart from Magnolia, the edges have been distressed with Walnut Stain.

There is a crochet doilie, which has also had the distress treatment, the lace is Marianne D Vintage Lace Stars.

Mariella

Hello and good morning everyone! While the days are getting shorter and the temperatures become lower I want to share you some inspiration for you to remembering a beautiful summertime we just had. For the card I made I used Mariella by Angelica and Friends. This sweetie is from Crafters Companion.

For my card I used some gorgeous papers by Kaisercraft 'Porcelaine Rose'. The sentiment I used on my card comes together with the image. How great is this!? And there are even two more sentiments for your using. I stamped the sentiment onto a Round Talk Magnolia Doohickey die cut.

I colored the image with Copics and surrounded it with some French Vintage Postmarks by Whiff of Joy. For embellishing I used some Lime Organza Ribbon and a Flower Heart Charm.

Wish you a wonderful day now.
Hugs, Karina

GUEST DT CALL NEWS...

Hi everyone I have news about our DT call...after a long and hard hair tearing few days at last Nikki and I managed to get down to our choice for this term...please don't think if you weren't chosen this time it has anything to do with your talent or for any other reason except there were so so many amazing crafters we could have chosen you all...Please, please, please apply for the next call as we would love to see you all apply again...right now I would like to introduce our Guest DT member for the term 30th September to 31st December
Please welcome

Hi, my name is Kathy Tanner. I live in Tasmania, Australia with my husband and 2 youngest kids but I actually have 4 kids, ranging from 8 to 27 (yep! we spaced them out a little) :) I also have 3 grandchildren. I work part-time as a teacher aide. I have always enjoyed lots of crafts such as knitting, cross-stitch, paper tole and scrapbooking but I started card making about 8 years ago now and it has completely taken over everything else. I love it! On Christmas Day 2011 I was given some Copics as a present and that was the start of a whole new crafting chapter of my life. I love them too and will sit for hours just colouring :)

and

Hi, I'm Becky and I live in Hartlepool, on the North East coast of England with my hubby and our two children. I've always been crafty, my mam taught me knitting and crochet when I was younger, and I have loads of finished (and unfinished) cross stitches round the house. I made our wedding invites in 2008 and my brothers in 2009, and caught the card making bug. I found stamped images around Easter 2010, and originally started with Copics, but since the end of 2011 I've coloured with distress inks. I can quite happily sit for hours colouring in images, I find it so calming and therapeutic, and then I get to play with all of my goodies putting my cards together.

Congratulations ladies...I hope the rest of you aren't too disappointed and thank you all for applying, it was so hard to choose just two of you and we look forward to you all applying next time
enjoy your weekend
