Steampunk Marci

Hello and good morning everyone! Great to see you here! Today I have some inspiration for you I made with Top Hat Steampunk Marci by La-La-Landcrafts.

I coloured her with Copics. The papers I used are from Kaisercraft '75 cents'. The tag I used on my card is a part of this gorgeous paper pad too. And so is the paper border.

The sentiments I stamped onto the tag come together with the image!

For embellishing I used some craft flowers and the leafs are all part of the one wooden leaf. As a contrast I also used some white lace.

Thank you so much for looking!

GUEST DT CALL NEWS...

Hi everyone I have news about our DT call...after a long and hard hair tearing few days at last Nikki and I managed to get down to our choice for this term...please don't think if you weren't chosen this time it has anything to do with your talent or for any other reason except there were so so many amazing crafters we could have chosen you all...Please, please, please apply for the next call as we would love to see you all apply again...right now I would like to introduce our Guest DT member for the term 30th September to 31st December
Please welcome

Hi, my name is Kathy Tanner. I live in Tasmania, Australia with my husband and 2 youngest kids but I actually have 4 kids, ranging from 8 to 27 (yep! we spaced them out a little) :) I also have 3 grandchildren. I work part-time as a teacher aide. I have always enjoyed lots of crafts such as knitting, cross-stitch, paper tole and scrapbooking but I started card making about 8 years ago now and it has completely taken over everything else. I love it! On Christmas Day 2011 I was given some Copics as a present and that was the start of a whole new crafting chapter of my life. I love them too and will sit for hours just colouring :)

and

Hi, I'm Becky and I live in Hartlepool, on the North East coast of England with my hubby and our two children. I've always been crafty, my mam taught me knitting and crochet when I was younger, and I have loads of finished (and unfinished) cross stitches round the house. I made our wedding invites in 2008 and my brothers in 2009, and caught the card making bug. I found stamped images around Easter 2010, and originally started with Copics, but since the end of 2011 I've coloured with distress inks. I can quite happily sit for hours colouring in images, I find it so calming and therapeutic, and then I get to play with all of my goodies putting my cards together.

Congratulations ladies...I hope the rest of you aren't too disappointed and thank you all for applying, it was so hard to choose just two of you and we look forward to you all applying next time
enjoy your weekend

Christmas Cats and Dogs

Hello and good morning everyone! Today I have two fun Christmas cards to show you. Both made with stamps from High Hopes. The first one is Christmas Cats Block.

The papers I used here is a non typical Christmas design. But it fits perfect for this occasion too. It is from Kaisercraft 'Porcelain Rose'. Here I also used some red web ribbon and some white lace. Below you can see a close up of this sweet image.

The second card I show you is made with 'Dog Trio Block'. For this card I also used papers from Kaisercraft, from the 'Silly Season' pad. Here I also used some red web ribbon and few Flat Back Pearls for embellishing.

Both images are colored with Copics. And on both I also used a sentiment stamp from High Hopes 'Magic of Christmas'.

I hope I were able to inspire you to create some Christmas cards. I know there is still some time, but you never can start making them too early as we know how fast the time flies while that time.

Have a wonderful day now.
Hugs, Karina

Hello everyone! Great to see you here. After a one week city trip to London I am back here to show you some inspiration I recently made. Today I have a gorgeous new image by Saturated Canary for you. This beauty is called 'Charmings'. I had so much fun to colour her in with my Copics.

I also added some White Web Ribbon and White Lace onto my card. I used two of the Magnolia DooHickeys; the Feathers and the Heart Tag 'So Wrapped Lovely'. Both of them are currently out of stock, but I am sure that Nikki will them have back in store soon. The sentiment I used is from Whimsy Birthday Greetings. Further I embellished my card with different Craft Flowers and with some Flat Backed Pearls.
